This is a little video just to explain the content of the Framed Paper Rose craft workshop… moving pictures and sound can often clarify what static pictures cannot!
I will also have some kits available after the workshop so that you can make another one of these lovely items at home. You will need to use a hot glue gun at home… having said that, you could use wet glue… it just means you have to hold the petals while you wait for the glue to dry with each section.
As always… just email@acraftersmind.co.uk if you would like more information and/or to book a place.
I currently have a some spaces on the next Roses workshop which is 24th February (Thursday) at 2pm (£25).
I have been asked many times to show people how to make my paper roses. I say ‘my’ paper roses because although the technique is not mine, the hand painted paper and the cut petal shapes are my own design. So you can rest assured ALL Painted Paper Roses are unique in their subtle colour variations!
So in this workshop I show how to make these beautiful Paper Roses, including a Bud and Leaves, and how to make the cardstock Frame.
I provide the kit of hand painted paper petals* and leaves that I have prepared for each attendee and show you how to colour the edges with inks, curl the petals and put the whole thing together using a hot glue gun.
At the end participants also make a simple box for the finished item.
These paper roses make wonderful gifts for any occasion (especially Mother’s Day).
* You will need to choose your rose colour when booking your place – Dark Pink, Light Pink, Blue, Yellow/peach! All Frames will be white.
